DidgeNet
The name DidgeNet combines the strengths of two elements,
Firstly, ‘Didge’ symbolizing the Yidaki (Didgeridoo). A traditional instrument used in ceremonies, protocols and as an educational practice to pass down cultural knowledge to future generations.
Secondly, ‘Net’ or ‘network’, representing a group of connected computes with a shared communication protocol, symbolizing the connection First Nation peoples have with the land and water which form the streams, rivers and channels throughout Australia.
The DidgeNet logo was inspired by my early years studying technology. I learned information systems consist of inputs, processing and outputs. Through my lived experience, I have carried the importance of family, culture and connection and wanted to demonstrate everyone coming together.
